Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with Freese and Nichols for the design plans to mitigate erosion along Adams Creek adjacent to the Preserve Park Regional Detention Pond
End
Background:
In March of 2025, the City Council approved a contract for design with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for erosion mitigation along the bank of Adams Creek adjacent to the Preserve Park Regional Detention pond. During the design process it was determined that a dam breach hazard classification study was needed on the existing detention pond that is adjacent to Adams Creek. In September of 2025, the City Council approved Amendment #1 which covered the rescoping of the original contract to address the dam hazard classification of the pond at Preserve Park. After the hazard classification was completed, remaining funds were used to move forward with design plans for erosion mitigation. 60% plans have been completed. Amendment #2 is to provide complete construction plans since funds were reallocated in Amendment #1 for the dam hazard classification.
