Background:
This project is located on Broken Arrow Creek on unplatted property in the City of Broken Arrow at 525 E. Boston St.
The only access to the property is across Broken Arrow Creek. The driveway is considered a low water crossing and is comprised of three 30-inch culverts. The driveway and bridge are washing out and the property’s yards upstream become lakes with each substantial rain event, however, this property is located in the Broken Arrow Creek floodplain and floodway.
The road to access the property and low water crossing is a private road. Any improvements would be contingent upon the City obtaining ownership of the private road.
Staff is requesting $125,000.00 of the 2018 General Obligation Bond Proposition 6 for design funds.
This area flows to Broken Arrow Creek.
