Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of and authorization to execute a Professional Consultant Agreement with GH2 Architects, LLC. for the design of a New Broken Arrow North Fire Station (Project No. 2435170)
End
Background:
In 2018, the citizens of Broken Arrow approved the General Obligation Bond which included the funding for a new Fire Station to be located in the Northern part of the current City Limits.
The site for the new Fire Station was determined to be just west of the Police and Fire Training Facility. This location is ideal due to its proximity to the Creek Turnpike allowing for rapid response to a larger area.
In November of 2023 the Request for Qualifications was published to design and prepare construction documents for the North City Fire Station. Eight (8) firms submitted their qualifications. Following a selection process that included Broken Arrow Fire Department, and staff members from Engineering and Construction, GH2 Architects, LLC. was selected to design the project.
City Staff negotiated an agreement with GH2 Architects, LLC. to design and prepare Construction Documents for $378,955.
Cost: $378,955
Funding Source: 2018 GO Bond
