Background:

On August 14, 2015, the City Council approved submitting an application to the Tulsa County Vision Authority to obtain $300,000.00 of Vision 2025 surplus funds to assist in funding the installation of an enhanced special event electrical system at Central Park. These improvements will effectively upgrade the electrical system so that large scale events such as Rooster Days and outdoor concerts may continue to be hosted at that venue.  On October 7, 2015, the Tulsa County Vision Authority approved the application for Vision 2025 surplus funding.

On December 15, 2015, the City Council approved the selection of 3rd Generation Electric as the contractor for this project at a cost of $352,596.00.  In addition to the Vision surplus funding, supplemental funding for the project will come from the Park Capital Fund.

On December 28, 2015, the Tulsa County Board of Commissioners approved the attached Capital Improvements Agreement which provides for $300,000.00 of the Vision surplus.
