Background:
The Senior Softball USA hosted their 2024 Oil City Classic Adult Softball Tournament in Broken Arrow on May 8-12, 2024 at the Challenger Sports Complex. Grant funds were requested to offset tournament costs. At the 10/10/2023 Visit Broken Arrow meeting, the board approved grant funding up to $7,000 pending receipt of the post-event report, receipts and room night verifications.
The 2024 tournament brought in 21 teams for the event with approximately 325 paid room nights claimed, with approximately 164 of those verified by VBA staff. Event expense receipts submitted are equal to $8069.14. Staff is recommending approval of up to $7,000 reimbursement for this event.
