Background:
The Purchasing Division issued Bid #25.119 for Bermuda Sod, a key material in various construction and maintenance projects for the City of Broken Arrow. The bidding process was openly advertised in the Tulsa World newspaper and on the City of Broken Arrow’s website to promote transparency and encourage competition. Bid requests were sent to five vendors, resulting in a single bid received on October 8, 2024, from Green Acre Sod Farms.
After a comprehensive evaluation, city staff recommended awarding the contract to Green Acre Sod Farms as the primary supplier. Funding for this purchase will come from multiple sources, as the Bermuda Sod will be utilized across various city projects.
