Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of award to the lowest responsible bidder, Cherokee Pride Construction Inc. and authorization to execute a construction contract for Liberty Trail Retaining Wall (Project No. SW26050)
End
Background:
This project is to replace the failing Liberty Trail Retaining Wall located between Aspen Ave. and Elm Pl. on the North side of the Creek Turnpike. This wall is approximately 807 feet long and ranges from 2 feet to 8 feet in height and failed due to a buildup of hydrostatic pressure. This project will include demolition of the existing gravity wall and trail, replacing the wall and trail with a reinforced concrete retaining wall and foundation that will also function as the trail, along with improving drainage and connecting to the existing drainage system. We will be coordinating with OTA for traffic control measures on the Creek Turnpike along with the entrance ramp to the highway on Elm which will be in place throughout duration of construction.
