Background:
The City obtains external data and telephone communication access from Cox Communication for the twenty (20) city facilities as identified in the attached agreement. The facilities not listed in the agreement receive data and telephone access through city owned infrastructure.
The proposed agreement is a renewal of the existing service agreement. The annual cost of the contract is $51,372.72, an increase of $6,744.36 from fiscal year 2014-15. This increase is due to adding connectivity to the Events Park, a camera at Wolf Creek tennis courts, and bringing the original Fire Station 2 back on-line. In addition, a fire alarm monitoring system was added to the former Police facility since it is no longer occupied 24 hours a day.
