Background:
The week of April 15th - 21st, 2018, is National Volunteer Appreciation Week. The Broken Arrow Police Department would like to recognize the over 200 volunteers that make up the “Volunteers in Police Service” for the assistance they provide to the Broken Arrow Police Department and the City of Broken Arrow. These volunteers include the Volunteers in Police Service, BAPD Reserve Officers, Victims of Crime, Community Emergency Response Team, BAPD Chaplains, BAPD Animal Control and the Emergency Management Volunteers. These volunteers have donated for the year 2017, 16,994.25 hours to the Police Department and the City of Broken Arrow. This translates into a savings of $410,241.19 to the City of Broken Arrow.
