Approval of and authorization to execute a General Release and Separation Agreement with Utilities Director Anthony Daniel

Background:
On November 18, 2013 Anthony C. Daniel assumed his duties as Utilities Director for the City of Broken Arrow. Mr. Daniel has submitted his resignation to the City Manager with an effective date of April 17, 2018. The attached document is presented for Council’s consideration. It provides for the Utilities Director resignation. It also provides a three-month severance. The City Council cannot be involved in personnel decisions other than those involving the City Manager. However, this is a General Release and Separation Agreement that necessitates Council approval because it exceeds the City Manager’s authority.
Cost: Three months’ salary
