Background:

The City is actively studying the feasibility of maintaining and improving existing infrastructure and housing within the Rose District and the surrounding downtown area.  To promote this a Coordinating Committee of five (5) is being formed by the City Manager, to make recommendations for residential development standards for the Rose District and the surrounding square mile.

 

The Coordinating Committee will begin their duties following the adoption of Ordinance No. 3410.  The Committee will seek proposals from consulting firms to develop a plan over the next six months to prepare development standards and design guidelines for residential development within the stated area.

 

The proposed coordinating committee nominees are:

              Warren Unsicker, BAEDC

              Lynn Palmer, Builder

              Terry Maytum, Architect

              Michael Spurgeon, City Manager

              Michael Skates, Development Services Director
