Background:

The Utilities Department requests approval to purchase two (2) complete feed pump assemblies from Applied Industrial Technologies through OMNIA Partners Cooperative Contract No. 16154. The proposed equipment consists of two PACO 200-horsepower feed pump assemblies, including motors, motor heaters, and associated components necessary for operation. These pumps are critical to maintaining reliable water treatment plant operations and ensuring continued delivery of treated water to the distribution system.

The existing feed pumps have reached the end of their useful service life and have experienced increased maintenance needs and reliability concerns. Replacement of these units will improve operational reliability, reduce the risk of unplanned outages, and support the City's ability to maintain uninterrupted water treatment and distribution services.

The total cost for the purchase of the two complete feed pump assemblies is $149,855.08, utilizing OMNIA Partners Cooperative Contract No. 16154, which satisfies competitive purchasing requirements and provides cooperative purchasing pricing benefits to the City. Funds are available within the approved Utilities Department budget for this purchase.
