Approval of Minor Change Order C02 for Construction Contract ST0916A, Iola Street and Cedar Avenue Improvements

End

Background:

Improvements to Iola Street from Elm Place to Main Street and Cedar Avenue from Kenosha Street to Broadway Street is a Downtown Street Improvements project approved in the 2008 and 2011 Streets G.O. Bond election.  The improvements are also identified for the Tulsa County Urban County 2013 and 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in the amounts of $380,631.00 and $368,838.00, respectively, for a total of $749,469.00.  The improvements consist of residential pavement restoration including mill and overlay and full depth patching of asphaltic concrete pavement, replacement of concrete curb and gutters, sidewalks, construction of 8-inch water lines, and relocation of 8-inch sanitary sewer.  The project was bid with sections of Iola Street as alternates. The project was advertised for bids on November 24 and December 1, 2014, and bids were opened on December 30, 2014.  Tri-Star Construction, LLC, was the low bidder with a bid of $1,016,499.20 for the base bid

This Change Order addresses changes required to increase the contract time for the project due to the increase of the construction scope as noted in Work Change Directives #1 and #4, extending the roadway construction through the associated intersections. This change includes 30 additional contract days, extending the day count to 32 days. There is no additional cost to the project as associated with this Change Order.
