Title:

title

Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Consultant Agreement with Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. for the Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Condition Assessment

End

Background:

The Broken Arrow Municipal Authority currently operates 32 lift stations across the sanitary sewer collection system. These lift stations vary in size, age, and condition. To keep the collection system operating smoothly, an understanding of conditions of these lift stations is vital. A Lift Station Assessment was previously completed by Dewberry in 2015. The initial contract with this project was for performing an updated condition assessment which was completed in the Spring of 2026.

During execution of the Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Condition Assessment, it was determined that the Old Adams Creek force main would provide valuable data for future commendations on upsizing/rehabilitating this station. The assessment work will include a force main inspection, field reconnaissance, data analysis, and a preparation of a technical memorandum. The force main inspection includes, but is not limited to, identification of air and gas pockets, leak and blockage detection, evaluation of system risks, and recommendations for future improvements. For this reason, Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Consultant Agreement was negotiated with Holloway, Updike  and Bellen to provide an additional assessment for a fee of $44,657.00 for the Sewer Lift Station Condition Assessment.
