Background:

On January 8, 2018 Code Enforcement opened a case for a dilapidated structure at 810 North Cedar Avenue.  An inspection showed the property to be in the following condition, which according to State Statute and City Ordinance meets the definition of a dilapidated structure and eligible for demolition: the house is unoccupied and has severe foundation separation problems, and structural dilapidation.  The structure appears not habitable.  No active water account since May 31, 2017. A Notice to Abate a Nuisance Public Hearing was posted on the property and mailed certified to the property owner. On January 08, 2018. The Notice to Abate to Public Hearing was stopped due to property entering into a Sheriff sale.  The Sheriff sale became final on March 20, 2018, U.S. Bank National Association retained the property. A second Notice to Abate a Nuisance Public Hearing was posted on the property and mailed certified to property owner and attorney group handling the property on May 01,2018.  No improvements have been made to the property since original posting January 08, 2018.  A Notice to Abate a Nuisance Public Hearing for rehabilitation or demolition of the dilapidated structure was posted on the property and mailed certified to the property owner. There have been no applications filed for a building permit or a demolition permit. This is continued from the hearing on June 7, 2018.

This property was demolished by the owner. Requesting this case be dismissed.
