Background:
The project consists of the rehabilitation of all of the Sanitary Sewer and Waterlines within the Melinda Park neighborhood, located near Albany and Garnett on the Southeast side in Broken Arrow. This includes approximately 15,500 linear feet of 8” and 10” HDPE for the sewer lines as well as approximately 13,500 linear feet of waterline replacement. Work also includes inspection/repair of manholes, replacing fire hydrants, CCTV inspection, erosion control and other utility construction activities. Construction time will be 210 calendar days.
The project was advertised on April 29th and May 6th, 2024. An optional Pre-Bid Meeting was held virtually on May 13th, 2024. There were three (3) bids received on May 30th, 2024. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. The lowest responsible base bid was Cherokee Pride Construction Inc. for a Base Bid of $6,551,750.00 and Alternate Bid of $811,110.00 for a total bid amount of $7,362,860.00. The alternate to be awarded consists of a small section sewer line that needs to be relocated due to close proximity to existing houses. The Engineer’s Estimate for the Base Bid is $5,581,771.00 and Alternate Bid is $872,382.00 for a total estimate of $6,454,153.00.
