Background:
At the request of the property owner, the City of Broken Arrow is proposing to annex 1.15 acres generally located West of Oneta Road and North of State Highway 51. The purpose of the annexation is the development and expansion of Kum and Go Store No. 837. The expansion will entail increased parking and installation of diesel gasoline pumps. The property is located at Lot Nine (9), Block Two (2), Prairie Dale, a subdivision, in part of the E/2 of the Se/4 of Section 21, Township 18 North, Range 15 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Wagoner County, State of OK
The Legal Notice of Annexation was previously approved by the City Council at its regular meeting on May 17, 2016, and was published as required by 11 O.S. § 21-103. Publication included the legal description and a map of the area to be annexed. In addition, Notice of Annexation was mailed to all property owners within 300 feet as reflected in the radius report previously prepared. The mailing also included the Legal Notice of Annexation and map.
A Public Hearing on the Annexation was held prior to preview of this Ordinance at the June 20, 2016, City Council meeting. Staff recommends that the Council adopt Ordinance No. 3438.
