Background:
At the December 6, 2016 City Council meeting the City Council ratified a promotional license agreement with Ice Challenge Enterprises, LLC for the installation and operation of an outdoor holiday ice rink at The Rose District Pavilion. The ice rink opened to the general public on December 1, 2016.
The ice rink has had attendance of 7,726 from opening day to January 7, 2017.
Due to the success of the ice rink, Ice Challenge Enterprises, LLC has requested to operate the ice rink through Sunday, February, 12, 2017, with a final event of “Skate Date in The Rose District” for a Valentine’s event. The remainder of February 2017 will be used to remove the ice rink from The Rose District Pavilion.
Amendment No. 1 extends the 2016 Promotional License Agreement from January 31, 2017 to February 28, 2017. All other terms of the original agreement remain in full force and effect.
Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 1 of the 2016 Promotional License between Ice Challenge Enterprises LLC and the City.
