Background:
Indian Springs Sport Complex fields 9-16 have dated and limited shade and weather protection for spectators. In 2025 Garver was hired to design replacement Shade Structures and sidewalks for fields 9-16. These upgraded Shade Structures will match the shade structures at fields 1-8, and provide improved sun and weather protections for the spectators seating areas.
The project was advertised on August 13, 2026 and August 20, 2026. An optional Pre-Bid meeting was held on August 21, 2026. There were twelve (12) bids received on September 3, 2026. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. This project included a base bid for mobilization and construction staking; Alternate 1: to replace the shade structures and sidewalks at Fields 9-10; Alternate 2: to replace the shade structures and sidewalks at Fields 11-14; and Alternate 3: to replace the shade structures and sidewalks at Fields 15-16. The base bid, Alternate 2 and Alternate 3 are recommended to be awarded.
The lowest apparent bidder was OPW Commercial Services, who has withdrawn their bid. The lowest responsible bid for these items was from Scissor Tail Construction for $340,414.64. The Architects’ estimate for these items was $429,537.00.
