Background:

STP-272F(367)IG or City of Broken Arrow project # ST1411, Albany Street Widening from 9th Street to 23rd Street includes construction of approximately 5,800 feet of roadway widening as well as sidewalk, stormwater, miscellaneous appurtenances, signal and intersection improvements extending from approximately 400 feet east of  9th Street through 23rd Street.  The project includes Federal Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) funds and was bid, awarded and is being administered through the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).

During construction, several issues have arisen which require change orders.  The change orders are described as follows:

Change Order #6 addresses the following additions /deletions/changes to the contract:

Traffic stripe (4”) material was changed from thermoplastic to multi-polymer at no cost.

Traffic stripe (24”) material was changed from thermoplastic to multipolymer at no cost. However, the planned quantity was well short of placed quantity resulting in a net overrun of 965 LF.

Traffic stripe (arrows) material was changed from thermoplastic to multipolymer at no cost. However, the planned quantity was short of placed quantity resulting in a net overrun of 4 EA.

Additional Class C Concrete was needed to construct a ditch liner /concrete flume.

Storm design required a redesign due to unforeseen field issues. Changes to design where made which helped result in significant savings elsewhere in the project however the unused structures already delivered to the site where custom built and could not be returned for a credit.
