Title:

title                     Award the most advantageous quote to Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc of Tulsa for the purchase of one (1) 2025 International MV Chassis with 2,000 Gallon Water Tank for the Streets Department

End

Background:

The Streets Department has budgeted for the purchase of one (1) 2025 International MV Chassis with 2,000 Gallon Water Tank. Funds for these purchases are available in the Sale Tax Capital Improvement (STCI) fund in the amount of $137,740.00 (Project No. 2653110, Account No. 3305300-570020).

The truck chassis and water tank will be purchased under the BuyBoard Contract numbers 685-22. All State Departments, Boards, Commissions, Agencies and Institutions, as well as Counties, School Districts and Municipalities may purchase items from this contract. Pricing under this contract is good until November 30, 2025.

Section 2-27 of the Broken Arrow Code addresses exceptions to the established competitive bidding process. It provides that supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services when purchased at a price not exceeding a price set by the state purchasing agency or any other state agency authorized to regulate pricing for items purchased by the state are excepted from formal competitive bidding. Purchase from the state contract is, therefore, authorized under City ordinance.

Base pricing of the International MV Chassis with 2,000 Water Tank is reflected in the attached quote. The Streets Department has identified the International MV Chassis with 2,000 Gallon Water Tank from Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc of Tulsa, as a responsible quote and, therefore, recommends its purchase from the BuyBoard Contract.
