Approval of and authorization to execute an Engineering Contract Funding Agreement with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) for engineering services involving Broken Arrow Creek Trail Project #146020
End
Background:
The City of Broken Arrow applied for Surface Transportation Program (STP) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds for two trails project in Broken Arrow. The City was successful in obtaining STP - TAP funds for both projects, including design of the Broken Arrow Creek Trail in south Broken Arrow. The trail selected was listed in the INCOG GO Plan and extends from the Liberty Parkway Trail north to Broken Arrow Public School Freshman Academy.
City of Broken Arrow Staff (Engineering & Construction Department and Parks & Recreation Department), along with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) were involved in an Architectural/Engineering selection for this project and R.L Shears Company was selected. The scope and fee have been negotiated and ODOT is preparing a Contract with R.L. Shears.
This item is an ODOT - City of Broken Arrow agreement for the City’s 25% share ($19,866.00) of the funding. With this ODOT agreement, the City agrees to manage the ODOT A/E contract. After ODOT receives this signed agreement, their representatives will execute it along with the A/E contract with R.L. Shears.
Cost: $19,866.00
