Background:

The current round of Tulsa Urban County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provides for $410,000 in Capital Improvements.  The CDBG funds are to be expended in Low- to Moderate-Income Blocks, which for this round are defined on the maps in the attached application.  City Staff have planned three (3) projects for this application: (1) Replacement an 8-inch waterline from Greeley Street to Detroit Street; (2) Construction of a new 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk from Detroit Street to Midway Avenue; and (3) Construction of a new asphalt multi-purpose trail on Kenosha Street from 27th Street to 37th Street.  The waterline cost is estimated at $258,300, the sidewalk $58,300, and the trail $383,000, for a total cost of $699,600.  The estimated cost exceeds the $410,000 that has been allotted to Broken Arrow. 2014 Quality of Life GO bond funds will make up the $289,000 difference.
