Background:

The City Council approved the selection of Selser Shaefer Architects for the Concept Design of the Center for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation on September 20, 2016.  City staff negotiated a Professional Consultant Agreement with the Architecture firm, and on December 6, 2016, the City Council approved the agreement.  Shortly after the first of the year, the Architect will meet with ArtsOK - the Regional Arts Alliance of Broken Arrow, to start the programming phase to identify spaces and their relationships, the overall size of the facility and the general exterior appearance.  Following the programming phase, the City will amend the agreement to require the Architect to develop a Concept Design for either an approximately 18,000-square-foot facility or a 30,000-square-foot facility (currently both sizes are included in the agreement).

The process of programming and preparing the concept design is expected to take about four months, completing in April 2017.

Cost:                                                                $114,250 (to be amended based on the results of programming)
