Approval of BAZ 1947 (rezoning request), Crossing’s at Lynn Lane, 60.00 acres, A-1 to RS-3, north and east of the northeast corner of Washington Street and 9th Street

End

Background:

BAZ 1947 is a request to change the zoning designation on a 60.00 acre undeveloped tract from A-1 (Agricultural) to RS-3 (Single-Family Residential). This unplatted property is located north and east of the northeast corner of Washington Street and 9th Street. This property was part of a larger tract that was split in Tulsa County. Applicant wants to develop single family detached residential homes on the property.

On November 17, 2015, the City Council approved BACP 147, a request to change the Comprehensive Plan designation on this property from Levels 2, 3, and 6 to Level 2, subject to the property being platted. The RS-3 zoning requested with BAZ 1947 is in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan in Level 2.

The Planning Commission, in their meeting of November 19, 2015, reviewed and unanimously (4-0 vote) recommended approval of BAZ 1947 per Staff recommendations and subject to the property being platted. There were approximately 10 people in the audience, however no one spoke, nor protested this proposal.
