Background:

OK TF-1 is comprised of emergency responders from multiple Tulsa Metro agencies with specialized training in rescue and disaster response. The team has responded to numerous regional disasters including tornadoes, floods, and ice storms. If the City of Broken Arrow approves their participation, it agrees to:

o Provide the participating employee with coverage under the Workers Compensation during any training, deployment, drills, and/or exercises offered or provided by OK TF-1.
o Participating employees will not suffer any loss of pay, rank, leave time, or opportunity while participating in any training, deployment, drill, and/or exercise sponsored by OK TF-1. The employee will be granted time off, or equivalent, for the duration of the event. The Participating Agency may seek reimbursement from Federal or State agencies to recoup expenses involved in the support of the participating employee provided within the scope of disaster activation.
