title

Approval of and authorization to execute a Professional Services Contract for engineering project management services with Nicholls Consulting, PLLC for city projects

End

Background:

The City of Broken Arrow Engineering and Construction Department’s Engineering Division requires the services of another professional engineer to perform project management services for the various public water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, streets, and public facilities projects that are in various stages of design by outside Architectural/Engineering firms. In order to keep critical projects on schedule, a temporary approximate 90-day contract for project management services is proposed.

Ms. Geneva Nicholls of Nicholls Consulting, LLC has prepared bridge design and dam inspections services for the City of Broken Arrow projects within the last two years. As a qualified Oklahoma Registered Professional Engineer with over 25 years of engineering experience, her services would fit in with the project management services required of the department at this time.

The attached Professional Services Contract for engineering project management services for city projects has been approved by Geneva Nicholls, representing Nicholls Consulting, LLC.  Staff recommends the attached contract be approved.  Funding for the contract will be from the various projects, specifically General Obligation Bond and Sales Tax Capital Improvement (STCI) projects.
