Consideration, discussion and possible preview of an Ordinance annexing property for a Planned Unit Development named Walnut Grove on 7.834 acres of land located in the South Half (S/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Seventeen (17) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma and located south of the Southeast corner of the intersection of East 131st and South Garnett Road, repealing all ordinances to the contrary; and declaring an emergency
End
Background:
Upon request of the current property owner, the City of Broken Arrow is proposing to annex approximately 7.834 acres located south of the Southeast corner of the intersection of East 131st and South Garnett Road.
Currently this 7.834 acre tract of land is undeveloped and zoned AG (agriculture) in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The proposal is to develop a residential subdivision.
The Second Amended Legal Notice of Annexation was approved by the City Council at its regular meeting of November 9, 2015. The Second Amended Legal Notice of Annexation was published as required by 11 O.S. §21-103B(1) and included the legal description and a map of the area to be annexed at the time of publication.
The attached Second Amended Legal Notice of Annexation was approved by the City Council in their meeting of November 9, 2015, and was mailed in accordance with the provisions of Title 11, Section 21-103. This Second Amended Legal Notice of Annexation advised all affected property owners within 300 feet of the annexation. Further, publication was accomplished in accordance with the provisions of this statute in advance of the Public Hearing.
A public hearing will be held prior to the adoption of this Ordinance at the City Council meeting on December 1, 2015.
