Approval of and authorization for the sole source purchase of a Toastmaster VDesk video production and streaming system for the City Council Chambers from Rushworks.tv

Background:
The City Council approved the purchase of the current Rushworks ToastMaster VDESK video production system in November 2008. Staff is recommending replacement of this system with a current state of the art Rushworks Toastmaster VDESK video production system. This system will provide the ability to streamline the production of the Council Meeting videos and provide a High Definition video for internet and television viewing. Staff is familiar with the Toastmaster product which will allow for a seamless transition. The current integrations between Toastmaster and the Granicus Media Manager are critical and this purchase will allow the integrations to remain in place. Rushworks is a sole source provider of their Toastmaster VDESK system as stated in the attached sole source letter.
Funding for this purchase is available in the Sales Tax Capital Improvements Fund. Staff recommends the purchase of the VDESK video production system proposed by Rushworks.tv for the City Council Chambers.
Cost: $30,869.00
