Approval of Workers’ Compensation Court Order for Lesia Thomas, City Clerk’s Office Employee, and authorize payment as set forth in the Order

Background:
The City received an Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Court Order for Lesia Thomas, City Clerk’s Office. The Court’s Order is presented for the City Council’s approval.
Ms. Thomas injured her right ankle on November 22, 2013. She missed a step while walking into the courtroom and sprained her ankle. Ms. Thomas was released to maximum medical improvement on June 10, 2015.
The Court found Ms. Thomas sustained 5% permanent partial impairment to the back over and above her 3% pre-existing permanent partial disability and 4% permanent partial disability to the right ankle. The Court determined that she is entitled to compensation totaling $10,917.40. The sum of $2,183.48 must be deducted from the award and paid to her attorney, Scott Tully.
The Order directs the City to pay taxes in the sum of $300.23 and a filing fee in the sum of $140.00. These amounts are included on the payment list for Council approval.
The City’s Worker’ Compensation Attorney advises that there is no basis for appeal and would recommend the Order be approved and placed in line for payment.
