Background:

The attached Professional Services Contract with IMS Infrastructure Management Systems, LLC, includes a survey of the entire street system maintained by the City with a combination of laser levels and digital cameras.  Upon completion of the survey, a database including sign inventory and condition, pavement condition, pavement analysis, and a comprehensive 5-year street improvement plan, and digital images that can be downloaded into the City Geographical Information System (GIS).  The consultant will also provide pavement management software, setup, and training for Streets and Storm Water Department and Engineering and Construction Department personnel on the use of the software.  The data provided by this survey and subsequent analysis will enable the Streets and Storm Water Department to be in a position to better prioritize and budget the City street maintenance and reconstruction work program to raise the overall condition level of our entire street system based on professionally backed data.

Funding for the Pavement Management System is from the Sales Tax Capital Improvement account.
