Background:

The attached General Warranty Deed is being conveyed to the City of Broken Arrow, a municipal corporation, from Mary H. Couch, Sole Trustee of the Don C. and Mary H. Couch Revocable Trust, dated the 28th day of January, 2019, the owner. Parcel 1.0 consists of 25,207.38 square feet of permanent Right-of-Way in the Northwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 18 North, Range 15 East, Wagoner County, State of Oklahoma.  Mary H. Couch, Sole Trustee of the Don C. and Mary H. Couch Revocable Trust, dated the 28th day of January, 2019, has accepted the following offer, made subject to City Council approval:

Permanent Right of Way: 25,207.38 SQUARE FEET (SF) @ $3.00 SF = $75,622

Improvements to be Acquired: 5-strand b/w 75 LF @ $7.50/LF = $563

Settlement Costs: $3,810

Total Just Compensation Amount (Rounded) = $80,000

 

A copy of the signed Acceptance Letter is attached, as is the General Warranty Deed.  Payment of the compensation amount is on the August 19, 2025 City Council Claims List.
