Approval of and authorization to execute the Professional Services Agreement Amendment with Insituform Technologies, LLC for Alleyway Sewer Rehabilitation by CIPP and Manhole Rehabilitation (Project Number 2754340)

Background:

The Alleyway Sewer Rehabilitation Project includes the rehabilitation of approximately 1,665 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main and associated manholes within the downtown Broken Arrow alleyway between Main Street and S. 1st Street, from E. College Street to E. Fort Worth Street. The original contract with Insituform Technologies, LLC was approved in the amount of $184,342.50 through BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Contract #730-24.

During cleaning and pre-construction preparation of the sewer lines, an additional 79 sewer service taps were identified that were not included in the original project quantities. Following installation of the CIPP liner, these service connections must be reopened using specialized robotic equipment to ensure continued sewer service. The additional robotic cutting and reinstatement of the 79 sewer taps will require a contract amendment of $5,617.50.

Staff recommends approval of the contract amendment with Insituform Technologies, LLC in the amount of $5,617.50, increasing the total not-to-exceed contract amount from $184,342.50 to $189,960.00. The amendment is funded through the Utilities BAMA Capital Budget, Fiscal Year 2027.
