Consideration, discussion and possible approval of the City Council to publish the Legal Notice of Annexation for the voluntary annexation of property for a proposed Kum and Go No. 837 on 1.15 acres of land located at 9904 South 241st East Avenue, described as Lot 9, Block 2, Prairie Dale, a subdivision, in part of the E/2 of the SE/4 of Section 21, Township 18 North, Range 15 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Wagoner County, State of Oklahoma, and to accomplish service by mailing in accordance with State Law

Background:
At the request of the property owner, the City of Broken Arrow is proposing to annex 1.15 acres generally located West of Oneta Road and North of State Highway 51. The purpose of the annexation is the development of Kum and Go Store No. 837.
Pursuant to Title 11, Section 21-103 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the Council must direct publication in a legally qualified newspaper of general circulation within fourteen (14) days of approval of the Notice. State Statute also requires that Notice be sent to all owners of property abutting any public right-of-way that forms the boundary of the territory proposed to be annexed. Staff recommends that the Council approve the Legal Notice of Annexation and direct its publication and mailing in accordance with the provisions of State Statutes.
