Background:

On September 17, 2025, Code Enforcement opened a property maintenance case for a dilapidated structure at 16513 East 127th Street South.  An inspection showed the property to be in the following condition, which according to State Statute and City Ordinance meets the definition of a dilapidated structure and eligible for demolition: The home and in-ground pool have not been maintained and is in disrepair.  The structure does not appear to be habitable.  No active water account since June 28, 2024. The home has wood rot around the windows. The roof, back doors, and chimney are severely dilapidated. After no repairs to the property had been made, the property maintenance case was closed on October 7, 2025, and a dilapidated structure case for the property was opened on October 7, 2025.  No repairs have been made to the structure. No contact has been made with any interested parties.
